NATURAL SUN PRINTS
Prepare your eco sun print paper :-
* Mix 2 heaped teaspoons of turmeric with abput 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol in a jar. Give a good shake - turmeric will settle on the bottom - don't worry ( I used hand sanitiser instead of rubbing alcohol). Using a paint brush use the dye wash to cover your paper.
Make sure you wear gloves and cover your work tops - it stains. Leave to dry (make sure to dry your sheets out of direct sunlight).
Working out of direct sunlight - place all your flower and leaves in a nice pattern on your paper - make sure they are flattish as you will be putting a piece of Perspex or glass over the top to hold everything in place.
Place your work piece out into direct sun light - nice sunny day is perfect for this project - leave in direct sunlight for at least an hour- the longer the better.
Remove all the material off the sheets - wash sheets gently in a tray half filled with water and bicarbonate of soda solution to help bring out your sun print - Be careful not to over wash the paper as it will start to break down.
Place your sheets to dry out of direct light - I pop mine onto some paper towel.
